Flat Clearance in Chelsea
This flat clearance in Chelsea's Brompton & Hans Town area involved a one-bedroom flat where general household waste, packaging and bulky furniture had built up across several rooms, including the hallway, living space and bathroom. The goal was a full clearance that left the flat genuinely usable again, not just tidied around the edges.
The situation: The before photos show a flat with waste accumulated in several places at once. Boxes and mixed packaging were stacked along a hallway and corridor area, narrowing the route through the flat. A bathroom had black bin bags left against the wall, and a living area had upholstered furniture, including a sofa with cushions removed, surrounded by loose debris on the floor. Doorways and entry points were partially blocked by stacked items, which made it harder to move through the flat safely. Taken together, the volume and spread of waste across different rooms meant this needed a structured, full-flat approach rather than a single-room tidy-up.
How we carried out the clearance: Our team started by assessing the flat room by room to plan a safe route for loading, given that waste was close to doorways, walls and fixed fittings. We cleared the hallway first to open up a working path, then moved through the living area and bathroom, separating bagged household waste from bulkier furniture items like the sofa. Upholstered furniture was carried out carefully to avoid marking the walls and corridor on the way out, and boxed packaging was consolidated and removed in batches rather than left to accumulate near the exit. Once the bulk items were out, we went back through each room to clear loose debris from the floor and corners.
The result: The after images show the same hallway, living area and bathroom with floor space fully cleared and walkways open again. The sofa and surrounding clutter were removed from the living area, the bathroom bin bags were taken away, and the corridor that had been narrowed by stacked boxes was returned to full width. For a one-bedroom flat in Chelsea, that meant the property went from partially blocked and cluttered to clear and move-in ready, with every room accessible again.
